One Example of How I Applied Peer Review In Another Course At UNE
In many of my other classes I’ve taken and are taking at UNE I have applied my peer review work. My best example I can think of is in my sociology class. Currently, we are getting ready for the end of the semester so our final work has been announced. Within the work we have to do is a final paper. This final paper is based on our life in relation to sociology. As I start to write this paper, I’ve been following the layout of how to start my paper, have good introductions to my paragraphs, and making sure everything is connected to the thesis. Although, another big part when writing a paper, especially a final paper, is peer review. My friend and I both shared our current drafts of our papers for peer review. On her paper, some of my peer review comments were local comments such as grammar corrections and I also used some global comments such as what her thesis was, what I could connect to, and some questions I had. Overall, peer review can help make your peers paper a lot better, because it allows for insight that wasn’t there before. Your eyes and voice allow for more ideas and can overall make the paper stronger. That is what I use peer review for: strengthening my paper and my peers.
