The Showcase Writing Project was made to highlight a section of work that I did over the semester. I chose to showcase my Technology Essay. This essay was much better than the first one I did in the semester. I felt very confident about this essay because it was a topic I felt strong about and knew a lot about as well. Our world is growing based on technology now and there seems to be no end to it. My essay revolved around three authors ideas about technology consuming the world and how people are now so dependent on their electronics, especially social media. This Showcase Writing Project focuses on the progression I made as a writer, an active reader, a peer reviewer, and critical reader from my first draft to my final draft. All of these aspects make a paper good. From my first draft to the final draft I received lots of comments. These comments were global and local. Global comments help with organization, ideas, and evidence. Local comments help with grammatical errors, sentence fluency, and structure. Both of these types of comments help improve a paper, especially mine. This is what I want to show in my Showcase Writing Project; the progression from my first draft with comments to fix and work on, to eventually have my final draft.
