Final Reflection
This team project has taught me a lot about the importance of teamwork and communication. I will take both of those characteristics into my future nursing practice because in the healthcare setting working as a team is crucial. Patient care isn’t defined to one specialty. Nurses, doctors, therapists, social workers, are some of the many specialties in healthcare that are involved in patient care. My capacity to contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives as a new nurses resulting from working as a team to complete this project has grown immensely. Some of the many things I’ve learned from working in a team and can contribute to quality improvement are: achieving wanted goals, help improve performance, bring my own ideas, knowledge, and skills for quality improvement, as well as my desire to improve performance and act upon that. As a team member I discovered that I am always open to new ideas, my team members feedback, I’m open and communicative, I’m a hard worker, and all those qualities are needed to be a good team member. I brought those qualities into my team process. As a team member, my role helped aide in the team’s success.
