Appraisal and synthesis
I discovered that it is much more common now that patient’s aren’t experiencing quality care because healthcare is stretched thin. Nurses are working long shifts, multiple days a week, and trying to balance complicated cases and up to four patients. Some of those patients require more attention than others, therefore they’re not all receiving the same amount of care if the hospitals were adequately staffed or better yet the nurse-to-patient ratio was appropriate.
